IVCA is the only independent, internationally recognised body for the certification and registration of Vital Code practitioners.
Our mission is to protect the public and elevate the profession by setting certification standards grounded in demonstrated competence, publishing and enforcing a binding ethical code, and maintaining a transparent public register that any client, employer, or partner can verify at any time.
We are not a training provider or a commercial brand. We are a standards body — independent by design, accountable by commitment — and our sole purpose is to ensure that the title "Certified Vital Code Practitioner" carries genuine meaning in every country where the modality is practised.

Independence Guarantee
IVCA maintains a strict structural separation between standard-setting and commercial training delivery. Board members with active training interests are required to declare conflicts and recuse themselves from any decisions affecting authorisation, curriculum standards, or assessment criteria.
No training provider, coaching brand, or commercial entity influences IVCA's certification decisions. This independence is the foundation of public trust.

How We Are Governed
IVCA is governed by a volunteer board of directors, structurally independent of any commercial training provider or coaching brand.
The board comprises practising Vital Code professionals, educators, and independent members drawn from law, healthcare regulation, and public policy. Advisory panels covering certification, ethics, education, and international development report to the board for formal ratification.

Our History
Four milestones that shaped IVCA into the international standards body it is today.
Year 1
Founded
A working group of senior Vital Code practitioners, academic advisors, and governance specialists formally constituted IVCA following two years of framework development.
Year 2
First Certifications
IVCA issued its first cohort of Foundation and Practitioner credentials, establishing the certification framework and launching the public practitioner register.
Year 3
International Expansion
Membership grew to cover practitioners across 45+ countries on six continents, with authorised trainers operating in multiple jurisdictions and key documentation translated for global accessibility.
2026
IVCA v2 Launch
A redesigned website, streamlined membership portal, and enhanced CPD tracking tools mark the start of IVCA's next chapter — built for a growing global profession.
Leadership
IVCA is entirely volunteer-led. Every member of the board and advisory panels contributes their time and expertise in service of the profession.
