Frequently Asked Questions
Why use the IVCA directory?
The IVCA directory is the only official source for verified Vital Code practitioners. Every professional listed has been assessed against our certification standards, holds current membership, and is bound by the
IVCA Ethical Code. Using the directory ensures you are working with a qualified, accountable professional.
What does “in good standing” mean?
A practitioner in good standing holds a current IVCA certification, has met all continuing professional development requirements, maintains an active membership, and has no unresolved ethical complaints or disciplinary actions against them.
Why might a member not appear in the directory?
Members control their own directory visibility. A member may choose not to appear, or may not yet have active status. Membership can become inactive due to non-renewal, disciplinary action, or voluntary cancellation.
How do I report concerns about a practitioner?
If you have concerns about the conduct or practice of an IVCA-certified professional, you can submit a formal complaint through our ethics process. All complaints are handled confidentially and in accordance with the IVCA Disciplinary Procedure.
